Introduction & Objectives

Eco-Efficient Smart Manufacturing of Metallic Materials (E-SM3) is a new ECCOMAS thematic conference focused on advancing intelligent, sustainable, and digitally integrated manufacturing technologies for metallic materials.

The conference will address key developments in AI-driven process optimization, machining and forming technologies, additive and hybrid manufacturing, welding and casting processes, digital twins, real-time monitoring, and advanced computational modelling. By fostering strong collaboration between academia and industry, E-SM3 2027 aims to accelerate innovation and support the transition toward greener, smarter, and more competitive metal manufacturing systems.
